The decision for my interface from the control panel to the computer was a toss up between the I-PAC and the KE72-T from Hagstrom Electronics. The I-PAC really had all that I needed when I was doing my initial research on the interface and was
a lot cheaper than the KE72-T. In the long run, I decided to go with the KE72-T because it provided the most
flexibility. I knew that I wanted to be able to interface my trackball with Windows and the KE72-T had everything I needed wrapped into one neat little package. The only downfall to this was the price.
Coming in at $139.95 this was a big step. I decided to go for it and haven't been disappointed.
My total parts list from Hagstrom included the following parts:
1 - The KE72-T keyboard encoder
2 - IOX36 breakout boards (I really only need one, the second is to neaten up the underside of the control panel.)
1 - KE-TBH3 trackball interface cable.
1 - KE-MM6-mini male to male keyboard interface cable.
